Malvasia Istriana is a native variety of the area, and Fiegl’s Collio DOC version is straw-yellow with golden highlights. The nose is complex, intense and delicate, with acacia flowers, tropical fruit and citrus.
On the palate it is dry, fresh, mineral and harmonious, with hints of tropical fruit and a persistent, delicate finish. It is made without skin contact, fermented and aged on its yeasts in stainless steel. Fiegl suggests it with sautéed clams and mussels.
