Liber Pater is Ippolito 1845’s Cirò Rosso Classico Superiore, made from 100% Gaglioppo and named after the Italic god of wine and the vine. The grapes are carefully selected and given a long maceration on the skins, and the wine is aged for 8 months in French oak barriques.
Ruby red with light purple hues, it shows wild berries, violets, spice and a soft note of oak. The palate is full-bodied, rich and velvety, the alcohol blending into soft tannins. Enjoy it with red meats, well-seasoned dishes and aged cheeses.
