Giovanni Rosso’s Barolo DOCG is 100% Nebbiolo from vineyards across the Barolo zone. The grapes are hand-picked in October, fermented on the skins for about 25 days in concrete, then aged for 18–36 months, depending on the vintage, in 50hl French oak casks.
The nose shows china, floral notes, cherry in spirit, star anise and mulberry. The palate is fine and elegant, with orderly tannins and a long finish. The producer suggests fresh pasta, grilled fish with sauces, lamb skewers, and white and red meats.
