Adriatic is proud to announce two new additions to our range of fine wines.
The first addition is the Ca' del Bosco Cuvée Prestige Franciacorta, made with Chardonnay (75%), Pinot Nero (15%) and Pinot Bianco (10%); each vinified separately and blended.
Franciacorta is an Italian bubbly with DOCG status from the district of Brescia in Lombardy, located in central northern Italy. It is made using the Method Champenoise or the Traditional French Champaign Method, so bubbles are formed by allowing a secondary fermentation in the bottle. rather than in vats (as with prosecco).
The Ca' del Bosco Cuvée Prestige Franciacorta takes 28 months of refinement on the yeast before it is ready. This is a classic, well-balanced Franciacorta, which is a perfect introduction to this celebrated style of Italian wine.
"It encapsulates our idea of the Metodo Franciacorta. A personal, perhaps even romantic idea. It means embracing excellence in wine, the integrity of the territory and respect for tradition.
For us, respect for tradition means continuous improvement and never falling back on the generic and perhaps rather arid celebration of memory. Bringing together modernity and the past. We believe this is possible"

Our second exciting addition is the Santa Margherita Pinot Grigio Valdadige DOC. This beautiful dry Pinot Grigio is the first to be made using pink Pinot Grigio grapes as a white wine. The result is a beautiful straw yellow colour with slight pinkish hints, although the must does not remain in contact with the skins. Following a soft pressing, the must ferments for 10-15 days at 18° C (64°). Once the fermentation is over, the wine is stored at a controlled temperature of 15 - 16° C (59 - 61° F) in stainless steel tanks until it is time to bottle.
This is an elegant wine with a lovely sweet-lemon entry, followed by Golden Delicious apples and a nice rounded finish for easy drinking. It effortlessly surpasses other watery Pinot Grigios that often give the varietal a bit of a boring reputation.
The Santa Margherita vineyard is situated in Eastern Veneto, Conegliano-Valdobbiadene, Alto Adige. This Pinot Grigio is their flagship wine, and the one which they link to their success as a winery.
“Wines that can be special, but more widely paired, checked in every phase of the vinification, clarification and ageing process. Wines that faithfully interpret their own local area and the tradition that they are part of and symbolise."
